Holmes’ Famous “Dennis Conner Walkout”

TVNZ have the video of Dennis Conner’s interview on Holmes’ first show (I seem to recall it not being the very first interview, but I could be wrong).

Having watched it again, (and I didn’t see the end the day it was first broadcast) I have to say Dennis was a real stand-up guy. He was unfortunate enough to be in our country at the time the decision came out and it was pretty generous to give and interview that could well have gotten out of hand.

I was impressed that he completely kept his cool, even when walking out. He gave even answers, and was polite though strained - very strained. I don’t think Paul was excessively hard on him, he just failed to show sensitivity toward the end of the interview.
