Over the past six months, I’ve noticed a significant deterioration in the comments section. The demise of the Sewer and crackdowns on other left-wing blogs have resulted in an influx of trolls, who have established a toxic and abusive atmosphere and progressively drowned out those commenters who actually have something interesting to say. I knew this was a possibility when I first established the facility, and frankly I am surprised it has taken so long.
It’s not the comments section that has deteriorated, as I noted yesterday his use of the word “racist” to describe his political opposites has increased a lot in recent months.
Give that man a broomstick!
It never ceases to amaze me how leftists are anti-censorship when it comes to things like pornography, or art that denigrates the Catholic church, yet when it comes to criticism of their own their Stalinist colours truly come out.
Why do we take them seriously?
Perhaps our problem is that we don’t?
