New Airport Security

Below is a recording of the news last Wednesday describing the new airport security.

Overall, it seems reasonable. However, towards the end we discover that the new searches won’t apply to religious garments worn by “communities such as the Sikhs”.

Translation: Islamists wearing a burqa can just walk on through…

Brilliant. Yet more political correctness.

Update: I should hasten to add, I have nothing against the Sikh community. As I’ve said before, Sikh’s with knives on aircraft are security in my book!

I also have no problem with Muslims on aircraft, but they need to undergo more rigorous screening first. Women in burqas might need to be searched by female staff in private, but they categorically must be searched.
