Assumptions of the Left

Why is it

National and Labour have already signalled that they want to make tax cuts a big part of this year’s elections. And, as we know, more tax cuts mean less money to spend (or save),

…that people can be so wilfully ignorant?

We on the right do not support tax cuts in spite of the “fact” that they will reduce income, we support them because they tend to increase tax revenue - they make the cake bigger.

Then there’s the fact that the government long ago ran out of efficient ways to spend their budget, and started up several wildly expensive schemes to try and throw away our money without admitting that they need to stop taking so much.

Of course, in an economy our size it’s not a question of lowering taxes in isolation to get higher revenue. With Australia lowering taxes, it’s almost getting to a case of lowering taxes to get any revenue.

But the Greens differ. Such is the twisted world of politics…
