‘Disrespected’
This word/term gives me the shits!
MY definition “Exclamation given by a low class piece of trash when their over-inflated sense of self-worth is offended”
I’m reminded of the episode of “Monster Garage” where Jessie points out the responses to the question “do you know what you’re doing” is usually the opposite of the response.
This is, in my observation, because those who are confident in their ability are able to joke about it. The same thing applies to those who are “disrespected” - no one who asks this question is actually worthy of respect.
Unfortunately, in too many situations the best response to this question is to turn and run - hard. I met a gentleman who had similar attitude a few months back who asked me if I thought I was funny. Given he was outnumbered 100 to 1 by people who did, I was quite happy to tell him that I did.
I have very definite ideas about whom I give respect to, and some punk kid wearing a bandanna across his face at a family gathering is not one of them.
