Just watched Catherine Delahunty’s maiden speech over at Frog Blog.
This speech is really a must-see, I read the transcript, but it just doesn’t to justice to someone who speaks Maori with an English accent and English with something of a Maori one.
DPF has some good comments, but I’ve one to add.
Catherine Delahunty must be the only person around who can talk with a straight face about honesty “being not the best policy, but the only policy”…
…while sitting next to Sue Bradford.
Surely it must count as some sort of cruelty to society to put such a person in the house with blogs like WOBH around?
