Coherent,thoughtful, reasoned…. he’s defending himself and his policies against the inflammatory use of the word Socialist (used in an obvious attempt to conjure some image of a Cold War bogeyman) and he points out that all policies in a free market system necessarily have elements of socialism,(small s )as well as capitalism, altruism, self interest. Keep in mind he inherited this calamity, he wasn’t it’s architech.
