Ok, this is starting to get like bad comedy.
Except this is the best guy the Democratic Party could find to be their presidential candidate, the leader of the free world, not some dottering idiot running a hotel or on a church council.
Actually, The Vicar of Dibley and Fawlty Towers weren’t bad, but this is.
Now Obama has insulted French President Sarkozy!
Oh no! Obama sent a letter to Chirac, saying he looks forward to working with him the next four years. Le Figaro, French newspaper is horrified at the faux pas. Doesn’t Obama ever consult his staff before acting? Sarkozy is the President there! It’s like Sarko writing to George Bush and saying he looks forward to working with him. Chirac is the FORMER president.
I seem to recall Bush getting some stick for not being able to identify foreign leaders while a candidate. That was in a “think on your feet” situation, concerning countries that were not (at the time) very important. That’s like getting a question on “Millionaire” wrong.
This is like turning up without any pants on.
