Here’s a thought for Mr Watson to consider.
I can’t think of a single case where a vessel going about lawful business has been deliberately harassed, suffered attempts at sabotage, had crew members attacked and been boarded by members of another vessel openly flying a pirate flag and the country of registry of the pirate has defended those actions.
Why exactly should we come to the diplomatic aid of an organisation that equips it’s boats with “can openers” – designed to destroy other boats?
Personally, I’ve always thought that the Japs have shown remarkable restraint by not sinking that lot on sight.
