A man who allegedly swung a live rabbit at pedestrians in Auckland’s downtown Queen St was due in court today on a charge of animal cruelty.
Police said the man, 53, held the rabbit by its ears and swung it at pedestrians as he abused them.
Police were called by a security guard and when police arrived the man tried to hide the rabbit inside his shirt.
I mean, how did he get the rabbit? Was it a pet or did he capture it from the wild? Did he bring it all the way into town just so he could wave it in front of people?
Maybe he was a magician? The report doesn’t mention whether he had a top hat.
