Stop the ACLU has some good comments on the modern state of Israel reaching age 60.
Oh yes we are human beings, a fact that often seems forgotten in the hate-filled propaganda that pervades too many institutions, the slanderous misrepresentation of latest fact and longer-term history which is heard far too much. A friend told me [...]

I thought this exchange between two women on opposite sides of the Palestinian/Israel divide was quite instructive.
Israel:
I know this may be difficult to believe based on the way Israel is presented in the Arab world, but the Israeli army does not intend nor want to kill innocent Palestinian women and children. The IDF enters Gaza [...]

Remember this next time you hear about what “moderate” muslims are saying.
There is no doubt whatsoever that the majority of Muslims in the world simply do not behave like jihad terrorists. But how many of them actually and actively disapprove of those jihadist deeds? How many are working against the spread of the jihad ideology [...]

It’s not well known in the west just how hard it is to setup churches in Muslim countries - almost impossible in most cases.
But someone has come up with a compromise: if the Pope becomes Muslim, they’ll allow a catholic church.
Anwar Ashiqi, president of the Saudi centre for Middle East strategic studies, endorsed this view [...]

Several media sources (including NRT) are reporting that that Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai used the word “Holocaust” to describe what might happen to Gaza if the people there didn’t stop firing random rockets at the Israeli population.
Never mind that the Palestinians try their best to initiate a new holocaust every day.
But that’s not [...]

Well, I don’t actually know if they have light bulbs, but Jihad Watch have uncovered a seriously screwy survey. Actually, the survey is fine - it’s just the reporting of it that’s up the wall.
You’ve got to read the entire thing, but after trying to reassure us all that everything’s fine…
WASHINGTON (AFP) - A huge [...]

I may have posted this before, but if you confuse your hijab with your burka, the BBC have this handy guide. Gotta love their “choice” of words.
Conservative choiceThe niqab is a veil for the face that leaves the area around the eyes clear. However, it may be worn with a separate eye veil.
The niqab attracted [...]

NRT again, this time playing useful idiot to terrorists.
Today 40,000 Palestinians formed a human chain on their northern border with Israel to protest against the latter’s continued economic blockade.
Yes, and they were expecting up to 50,000.
Israel’s response?
Some areas on the Israeli side of the border were declared closed military zones and foreign journalists were [...]

That is the only word for this.
Draw a picture offensive to Muslim extremists, and you might find yourself without a roof. Ask Kurt Westergaard, one of the twelve Danish cartoonists whose autumn 2005 Muhammad caricatures lead to violent protests throughout the Muslim world. He was booted from his police-protected hotel room on Feb. 15 for [...]

LGF links to this post, featureing videos including footage from the Israeli Armed Forces which claim to prove that Rachel Corrie died protecting terrorists, not innocent civillians.
I doubt this is going to convince anyone either way, but it will certainly provide ammunition to those who support Israel.
See what you think. I’m not convinced, but their [...]

Just a couple of notes on Jihad to end the day.
The Baghdad bombers didn’t have Down Syndrome. They were just so blown up it looked like the did. They had undergone psychiatric treatment though. I wonder if they were picked because they were already suicidal - nice people, picking on the sick to do their [...]

Oh this is great.
It seems that CAIR sent out a press release bashing LGF, labeling them a “hate site”. Charles Johnson is no fool, and he had a great comeback.
To see how closely they’re watching, I put in some code to redirect any links from CAIR’s press releases to go to this page instead, exposing [...]

Dhimmi Watch highlights the plight of churches in Muslim countries. In this case they’re lucky - they can build. There are churches in Egypt that have been in existence for many years, but after destruction (by raging mobs of Muslims) they are frequently not allowed to be repaired.
Can you imagine a mosque getting this sort [...]

CALGARY — Calgary Muslim leader Syed Soharwardy says he is withdrawing his Alberta Human Rights Commission complaint against former Western Standard publisher Ezra Levant.
The complaint was launched in February 2006, after the Western Standard and the Jewish Free Press reprinted cartoons from a Danish newspaper that many in the Muslim world felt [...]

Goodness, you’ve got to wonder at some people.
The Archbishop of Canterbury is said to be overwhelmed by the “hostility of the response” after his call for parts of Sharia law to be recognised in the UK.
Friends of Dr Rowan Williams say he is in a state of shock and dismayed by the criticism from [...]

Broadly speaking, when this counter registers an attack for each non-Muslim in the world, the Islamic version of Peace will be here.

There are plenty of people who like to inflate the idea of Christian fundamentalism into something that is as bad, or even worse than Islamic, but there’s one little thing standing in the way of that.
Facts.
Let’s see. 10,380 violent attacks since 9/11 by Islamic jihadists who justify their actions on the basis of Islamic texts [...]

I’ve found some moderate Muslims - actually they found me and posted a comment.
Interesting, I must have a further look around. I do like their cartoon thought!
As Michael J. Totten recently blogged
For all the hatred in the Middle East, there is also forgiveness, and moderation. Where are the moderate Muslims? ask many Americans. I find [...]
