This quote needs no further explanation.
A few years ago, Muslims won a lawsuit that entitled them to amplify the call to prayer five times a day from loudspeakers atop mosques in Dearborn. “You can hear it loudly a half-mile to a mile away,” Saieg reports.
“They have many mosques in Dearborn, and everybody in the [...]

Paris Hilton now seems to be carrying around a Bible.

If only she would read it.
My advice: read the New Testament, then the Old. Many people just jump in anywhere, but if you read this way, you will get the Gospel, then the background story to it.

Trivia

Abraham Lincoln (as we all know) was assassinated.
The man who succeeded him was Andrew Johnson.
What many people do not know is that Andrew Johnson was impeached, and impeached for essentially the same reason that people seek Bush’s impeachment - policy differences.
But there’s another similarity! Check out this quote from Wikipedia:
Johnson is credited with saying “It’s [...]

Paris has had her sentence halved for “Good Behavior“, even before the sentence starts.
I’d have thought it was bad behavior that got her there in the first place!
If I were the judge, I’d find whoever made that decision and have them up for contempt of court. Ridiculous.

Poor, Poor Paris

Paris is so distraught over her upcoming (and well deserved) jail term, she is unable to face up to some of her previous reckless actions, like, oh, like, totally defaming someone.
The blonde hotel heiress, who is facing an order to testify in a $US10 million civil suit against her, is not capable of taking part [...]

Surely, No One is That Stupid!

You’re a well known celebrity.
You’ve been caught drunk driving.
You get back in your car on a suspended license. And get caught. Twice.
So you are convicted, and must report for jail time in a few days. The judge is clearly not going to let you off, in spite of your belief that you should be. Oh, [...]

Paris Hilton - Did you know?

A few things you may not know about Paris Hilton’s recently imposed jail sentence:

The judge argued to the Supreme Court that a guy should spend 30 days in the slammer for wearing a jacket that said “F*** The Draft” in the court hallways (only it didn’t have the “***” part. ;))
Arnie has laughed away the [...]

Lawsuit Abuse

I’ll bet money this appears on Kiwiblog within the week!
So there’s this lawsuit. It’s taken by a judge. Here’s what he’s after:

$1,500 for each “violation” - counting each day for 10 years as two “violations”
Multiply that by 3x as three people were “involved”
$500,000 in “emotional damages”
“$542, 500 in legal fees, even though he is representing [...]

Getting Rid of America’s Guns

LGF documents an idea, published in The Toledo Blade and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, to get rid of guns. The author should really have thought a lot more about what he was saying - he’s advocating a totalitarian state.
The disarmament process would begin after the initial three-month amnesty. Special squads of police would be formed and trained [...]

Corrections Failures in the US

As bad as our corrections department is, at least they’ve never done this! Sure beats posting the traditional “file in cake”.
A prisoner in the US state of Kentucky was mistakenly freed after a phoney fax ordering his release was sent from a nearby grocery store.
Timothy Rouse, 19, was being held on charges of assault [...]

Gun Control…

…is going to be a bit hard with people like this pushing it.
Kind of like the guy I heard on the radio a while back talking to Kim Hill.
When asked to explain what a semi-automatic was, he proceeded to describe the features of what is in this country known as a “Military Style Semi Automatic” [...]

School Massacres

Not PC has a list of school mass-killings. Turns out they’re not all from the USA. Funny that.

Beslan School siege, Russia, 2004, 365 killed.
Machakos school arson, Kenya, 2001, 58 killed
Bath School bombing, USA, 1927. 45 killed.
Virginia Tech shooting, USA, 2007, 32 killed.
Ma’alot massacre, Israel, 1974, 26 killed.
Dunblane School shooting, UK, 1989, 18 killed.
Erfurt school [...]

Guns and Abortion

NZ Conservative documents yet another liberal with an abortion blind spot.
The underlying message was really that the US needs better gun control in order to prevent massacres in the future. A political point being pushed if ever I heard one.
So, when a woman phoned in and said that with 18,000 deaths a year in NZ [...]

Hate America, Hate the NYPD

NRT vents his spleen on the NYPD, after officers were charged in a shooting incident. He says:
Meanwhile, New Yorkers ought to be asking their politicians why this sort of thing is allowed to keep happening - and why a domestic law enforcement agency with the duty of protecting people is displaying the same trigger-happy behavior [...]

What was this guy thinking?

It seems that an American judge has ruled that both religious freedom and freedom of speech can easily be curtailed.

USA Left Wing Radio

As we all know, in the USA the radio is dominated by the right. Make the the “horrible, nasty <insert 5 min of negative adjectives here> right”.
The cheek.
The left decided that there must be a massive opportunity for a left wing station. So Air America was born. And died.
The recently sold it. For very little.
What [...]
