New Flag?

Everyone’s talking it, and it occurred to me that the below would overcome a few issues.

1. It avoids the issues with black to do with piracy, yet retains it as a distinctive NZ colour
2. It’s simple
3. It uses the fern, in spite of criticism, the fern is our national plant and is used by most of our sports teams as our symbol
4. It doesn’t look like a white feather.

Just a thought. I suspect that others have had the same idea in the past.

I’m not that fussed on changing the current one actually.
