A last-minute reprieve for the Overlander train has allowed operator Toll to maintain its monopoly on the service.
Pull the other one.
My old boss used to do this all the time.
- You don’t like a situation
- Threaten to end the situation
- After raising a rucus, you change your tune at the last minute
- and do what you wanted to do all along.
Fact is, Toll now has heaps of free publicity, has had several full trips, much higher visibility with the public, heaps of Mayors on board… the list goes on.
Now forget everything that everyone has said, what’s actually happened, what have they actually done?
Reduced services.
And they’re being praised for doing it.
