Time was that people were afraid that Rodney would screw up the party owing to the crazy stuff he got up to in parliament.
Well, that was the old Rodney. The new Rodney is missing in action – nothing worth reading on his blog, nothing worth reporting on in parliament. Does he even turn up these days?
It’s nice that he lost all the weight. Really.
But how about actually fighting for that stuff people elected you for? Like lower taxes, benign sensible about global warming, getting off the backs of small businesses, the IRD etc? These issues have not gone away just because you’ve lost a few.
Let’s hope Rodney uses the time over the break to reflect on the failure this year has been politically, and resolve to make a vast improvement next year.
