Oprah Won’t Interview Palin

ABC via NewsBusters

“At the beginning of the presidential campaign, when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates,” Winfrey wrote.

“I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

But Winfrey, who publicly endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama in May 2008, is being widely criticized by some fans of the show who say she’s being unfair and biased.

Pretty bizare that the top women’s talk show won’t interview the first women on a presidential ticket for 24 years.

24 years!

    Hi Greta ~
Nice to meet you. Just to let you know what I think about Oprah being reluctant to interview Sarah Palin. Oprah is Obama’s sponsor. She launched him on her show. The first time he appeared on her show, he was with his wife and daughters. This was before any of us knew he was going to be running for president. It has been obvious that she has been active in his campaign, probably encouraging her influential friends to donate to his campaign, as well. I’m not surprised at all that she doesn’t want Sarah Palin on her show.

Of course she’s unfair an biased. She supports Obama – she said so. She is not a journalist any more, and she can use her show any way she wants. I don’t see other non-journalists behaving differently.

  3. I would bet that if there was a woman VP on the Dem ticket she would be interviewing her in a heartbeat! I agree…..she is unfair and biased!
