I just read your take on Tarantino. I could not leave a reply there so leaving one here. I posted a “Inglorius Basterds” is super gory post and got a few hits. It is worthless trash and I am so glad I did not see it. I was trying to dissuade others from same.
Hollywood is on a bad roll. Just violence for its own sake. QT has a bully pulpit and some clout in the wood. I’ve never seen any of his trashy flics.

Yes, I wasn’t impressed – it was tedious boredom with (as you say) occasional and completely unnecessary gory violence.
