I was reading some comments on NZ Conservative.
This one from Zen Tiger inspired this post.
Your other point I also agree with in a general sense. Questioning is good, and understanding how much of our culture and history shapes out thinking equally important. It gives a lot of our basic arguments and discussions a fundamental bias that is hard to perceive.
This is in reply to a comment that implied that Christians refuse to question, and hence to learn.
Christians don’t believe that nothing should be questioned. It’s silly to even suggest that.
In fact, it’s so silly that it reveals a deep ignorance.
An ignorance that would not exist had the accuser been willing to question his assumptions.
