Sound like one group of spoiled offspring will have to face the hard facts of life.
Sadly that former client died last week after a long illness. I have just been informed of his death from his onshore solicitor who thought that I was still in charge of the offshore trust. I am now completely gutted I am no longer in charge, as the litigation will be huge, lengthy and very very sexy.
The children will find out very shortly that on consolidation of all his wills/trusts/companies all he has left each of them is a very very small sum of cash and if they contest the validity of the offshore trust where the bulk of his assets are stored they automatically become an “excluded person” under the terms of the trust and get nothing.
