Interesting post on working for Google, from someone who purports to know what Microsoft was like at the same stage. You may be surprised to read it’s not all better.

Google actually pays less salary than Microsoft.
Google’s health insurance is actually not nearly as good as Microsoft’s.
Personally, I see Google going “evil” much faster than Microsoft ever did. This sort of thing is going to get old very quickly once the company slows down a bit.
